Description: Assist disadvantaged families, including farmworkers and those with limited English skills to overcome basic need barriers and enable them to pursue self-sufficiency.

Domestic Violence Prevention Program
Provide safe housing and related support services for victims of domestic violence.
Services: Emergency housing, hotline, support groups, case management and court advocacy.
Program Locations:
New York: Orleans County
Eligibility: Female victims of domestic violence and their children living in Orleans County or referred from surrounding counties.

Emergency Food and Shelter
To serve the one-time emergency needs of migrant and seasonal
farmworkers and other rural disadvantaged people who may not be
eligible for other emergency services.
Services: Nutritional assistance, emergency shelter,
first month rental assistance, rent in arrears assistance, mortgage
assistance and utilities in arrears assistance (one-time only
assistance).

Enable homeless families who are eligible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to locate and retain safe, affordable housing.
Services: Case management and assistance with housing placement and retention.
